FAQ
We are very serious about maintaining an ethical and loving approach to our partners and friends of Ethiopia. We are respectful of parent values and traditions and match children accordingly. We are also very intentional about building community as our Ethiopian children come home. We are so blessed to have regular contact and fellowship with our families both before and after their adoption experience.
There are many good agencies to chose from when considering adoption. We believe that our agency is unique in that we are small in size and big in heart. We genuinely care for our clients and the children we serve. We support several orphanages with our Ethiopian partners, and know the children for whom we are committed. It is always our intention to put the best interest of children and families first, working hard to keep children with their birth families when possible. When it is not feasible, we believe a child is best cared for within a healthy and loving family. It is our goal then to equip and prepare those families for their most important role as parents to their adoptive child.
We are very supportive and encouraged by the implementation of the Hague. We will seek Hague approval and will establish our agency based on Hague standards.
Do you work in any other countries?
Presently, we have a cooperative agreement to work in the countries of Ethiopia and China. We will prayerfully consider assisting children in other countries as God leads.
Are your fees refundable?
Our fees will be non-refundable as they are requested for services rendered. We request fees differently than most agencies with the majority of client fees due toward the end of your adoption process. This is helpful for those clients seeking financial assistance, through loans and grants, as well as a more responsible and secure situation for all families.
Who Qualifies to adopt?
Arise will place children according to Country guidelines for adoptive families as well as the desires of our international partnering organizations. Currently, we place children into two parent families with active Judeo-Christian faiths. Parents must also agree to pre-adoptive training provided as well as submit an approved home study.
